Job Description
Role Objective
The Field Sales Executive will be responsible for building, growing, and managing a buyer base within an assigned territory, with a clear focus on generating consistent, repeatable revenue.
The role involves:
• Acquiring new kirana / horeca buyers
• Driving repeat purchases and increasing wallet share
• Expanding product penetration (SKU/category level)
• Reactivating inactive buyers
• Maintaining a strong and active pipeline
This is a field-intensive and target-driven position, requiring disciplined execution and consistent follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
1. Buyer Acquisition & Territory Development
• Identify and map potential buyers within the assigned territory
• Convert leads into active billing customers within defined timelines
2. Revenue Generation & Growth
• Drive daily order booking from assigned buyers
• Increase:
o Buyer-level billing (wallet share)
o Order frequency
o Average order value
3. Buyer Retention & Expansion
• Ensure consistent engagement with active buyers
• Improve SKU/category penetration
• Promote high-margin private label products
4. Reactivation of Dormant Buyers
• Identify inactive buyers and bring them back into the ordering cycle
• Maintain a structured reactivation pipeline
5. Pipeline & Execution Discipline
• Maintain clear tracking of leads and follow-ups
• Ensure every lead has a defined stage and next action
• Update CRM systems accurately on a daily basis
6. Order Quality Ownership
• Ensure orders are placed with reliable buyers
• Align sales with company pricing, credit, and margin guidelines
Compensation Structure
• Fixed Salary: ₹4,20,000 per annum
• Performance Incentives: Up to ₹1,00,000 per annum
• Total Earning Potential: ₹5,20,000 per annum
Incentives are linked to:
• Revenue performance
• New buyer acquisition
• Buyer reactivation
• Growth in wallet share and repeat business
Requirements
Degree in Sales/Marketing
2–5 years of experience in FMCG / B2B field sales
Hands-on experience in territory management and buyer handling
Prior exposure to organizations such as Udaan, Metro Cash & Carry, Jumbotail
Comfortable working in a target-driven and field-oriented environment
Good understanding of Bengaluru market and retail ecosystem
Ability to work independently with strong ownership
